The Youth Skilling Program

Ongoing hands-on community workshops that combat youth unemployment through eco-friendly asset production, structural fuel alternatives, digital skills and AI training.

The Youth Skilling Program is an ongoing hands-on community workshop series designed to combat youth unemployment across Uganda. We provide intensive practical sessions that instruct youth groups on eco-friendly asset production and prepare them for the digital economy.

What we teach

  • Making natural herbal bathing soaps using mint, aloe vera, and plant-oil blends.
  • Producing structural fuel alternatives such as briquettes and fireless cooking baskets.
  • Sustainable carpentry, eco-friendly bricklaying, and tree nursery management.
  • Digital skills — from basic computer literacy and online collaboration to digital marketing and content creation.
  • AI training — introducing youth to artificial intelligence tools, responsible use, prompt engineering and how AI can support green enterprises and climate action.

Each session ends with participants leaving with a marketable product or new skill — and the confidence to start their own green enterprise.
