Field Interventions in Zombo District: The AKS II Project

Alongside the Nebbi District NGO Forum, Green Ambassadors Club field teams spent three weeks in Zombo delivering the second phase of the AKS II (Agro-Knowledge & Soils) project.

Activities on the ground

• Ten soil-testing demonstrations across four sub-counties.
• Compost, mulching and contour-bunding workshops with 220 farmers.
• Climate-literacy sessions in six primary schools reaching 1,400 pupils.

Early results

Participating farmers reported measurable improvements in maize and bean yields on demonstration plots. The project's soil-health baseline will feed into a district-wide climate adaptation plan the Forum is co-drafting with local government.
